Editor's note: Although Mrs. Williams mailed her news on July 24 (post marked in Texarkana) the Picayune did not receive it until Saturday, July 29, even though the label was one the U.S. Post Office printed exclusively for the Picayune two years ago and shows a bar code, which is supposed to move the mail faster. So much for progress.

The Rosston youth returned from Gary, Texas, on Friday. They report a hot time due to an air-conditioner going on the blink.

Bro. Petie and Laura had a few days' vacation in Morrilton and Little Rock. They also reported a hot time.

We are all thankful for the cool air the Lord sent our way. Just wish it could stay this way.

Marjorie Evans celebrated a birthday on Thursday. Her children treated her to a supper at Crossroads Buffet. Afterwards they had cake and ice cream at her home.

Bro. Jerry and Dot Evans will leave for California on Tuesday when daughter, Diane, will have surgery again on Wednesday.

Lyn Dean Morman and others from the Hope Post Office spent four days in Little Rock learning more about their computers.

Michelle Baldwin Smith and her husband Chris are the proud parents of a baby boy born in Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia Thursday. They named him Dakota Spencer. Congratulations to them all. Marva Baldwin's blood pressure ran high during all the excitement and she had to be taken to Medical Park Hospital in Hope and did not get in on the new arrival.

Valeria O'Keefe had cataract surgery on one of her eyes in Texarkana Monday. Remember her.

Brenda and Ginger Williams drove from Midland, Texas, on Thursday night to pick up Tyler, who has been visiting here with relatives for three weeks. They all returned home on Monday.
