Members Sought For County EHC ClubsPublished Wednesday, August 2, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesExtension Homemakers Clubs (EHC) are groups of people who meet regularly and learn together. Each club has elected officers and education chairpersons. Clubs also have their individual community service projects and educational trips. Extension homemakers are people just like you. They generally work, shop at the same stores and sit next to you at community functions. This group may consist of young homemakers, working people, stay at home parents, grandparents and retired men and women. Becoming a part of EHC in Clark County has many benefits. Among them you will gain the latest information on what's new for your home and family in the areas of resource management, nutrition, health and wellness, cultural arts, home and community development, and leadership development among others. The cost is next to nothing. Your major investment is time in learning and sharing information. Yearly dues for club members are $1 and members-at-large are $2. Any member, including at large members, may participate in county, district, state and national activities. All members receive a monthly newsletter highlighting EHC activities and opportunities for service.
