YOUNG'S FUNERAL HOME of ELDORADO

Auby McEachern, 70, of Norphlet died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

Mr. McEachern was born August 23, 1929, in Shongaloo, La., to Nobie (Greer) McEachern and Melvin McEachern. He was a retired principal for Norphlet School District. He received his BSE from Southern State University and his master's degree from the University of Texas-Commerce in Commerce, Texas; He also taught and coached basketball for two years in Village and taught and coached basketball and baseball for five years at Laneburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and retired from the Army National Guard with 23 years service. He was also a member of Norphlet United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Linton McEachern of Norphlet; two daughters, Kathy Long and Becky Hannagan both of Norphlet; three brothers, Carlton McEachern of McNeil, Darnell Mceachern of Taylor and Horace McEachern of the Western community; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 30, at Norphlet United Methodist Church with Revs. Glen Harris and James Ford officiating. Burial was in Atlanta Methodist Cemetery in Atlanta under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors of El Dorado.
