PES Open House, Public Meeting ScheduledPublished Wednesday, August 2, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayunePrescott Elementary School will hold its annual public meeting and open house Thursday, August 17. Orientation for parents whose children will be in kindergarten through fourth grades will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Prescott High School auditorium. Principal Howard G. Austin will welcome parents and introduce the staff. A general overview of the total elementary school program will be presented to the parents. At that time Austin will also present the Prescott Elementary School's annual improvement plan. Parents will be made aware of important rules and policies for this year. Other important areas of the elementary school which will be presented include Parents and Teachers as Partners (PTP); transportation; special education; library; counselor, parent coordinator and Title I.
