NHS Committee Awards Scholarships To 22 SeniorsPublished Wednesday, May 26, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada High School scholarship committee awarded scholarships to 22 seniors at the academic awards ceremony held recently. Individuals and businesses donating $100 or more to the scholarship fund could name the recipient of their scholarship. The following students received $125 awards from the general scholarship fund: Brandi Young, Lesley Walthall, Matt Herring, Justin House, Beth Stewart, Mark Barr, Jessica Carey, Josh Casey, Kristen Fry, LaTina Henry, Regina Gulley, Ramona Evans, Marcus Harper and NeKina Adair. Students receiving named scholarship were Robin Rudd, $500 scholarship from the Bank of Prescott; Lori O'Keefe, $500 from Fikes Truck Lines and $100 from First National Bank of Hope; Chasity Reeves and Michael Williams, $300 from Charles and Cora Marlar in memory of Wayne Gibson, Beulah Simpson and Shirley West; Jace Jarvis, $200 from Mary Martin in memory of Robert J. Martin; Michael Williams, $100 from Bodcaw Baptist Church, $100 from Williams Auto Service and $300 from Jake and Helen Glass; Eric Gosvenor, $200 from Reed and Katherine McConnell; Marcus Harper, $100 from Leo Holleman Rabbitry; Lori O'Keefe and Jace Jarvis, $1,000 each from Jan Rigdon Webb in memory of Ronnie Rigdon; Chasity Reeves, $100 from Williams Auto Service; Kristi Powell, $100 from Bodcaw Baptist Church; and Shannon York, $125 from Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marlar and Canelia Hasley in memory of Willodean Odell Miller and Dale and Betty Spradlin Fund. The following businesses and individuals contributed to the General Scholarship Fund: Dr. Willis Beene; Harold Fincher The Peoples Bank; Van Oil, Inc.; W.P.
