Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991. A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott at the courthouse July 27, August 24 and September 28. Supplemental Security Income pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible call 1-800-772-1213. S.C.A.N., (suspected child abuse and neglect) needs volunteers. Nevada County Fair Queen entry forms are now available at the Chamber of Commerce. Deadline to enter all the pageants is August 12. For more information or questions call Lisa McClure at 887-2299. The Chamber of Commerce has plastic litter bags for your car or truck. These bags are from Keep Arkansas Beautiful and Nevada County. The Emmet School board will have its regular monthly meeting Monday evening, August 7, at 7:00 in room 4. The agenda will include the elementary and high school principals' reports, superintendent's report, consider changing September meeting to September 13 and personnel matters. The Vandiver reunion will be held August 6 at Prescott Country Club from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a potluck lunch. Everyone is invited. Boughton Baptist Church will have a dedication service for the new fellowship hall Sunday, August 6. There will be special singing and lunch will be served. Everyone is welcome to come. Revival services will be held at White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church 314 Highway 332 in DeAnn August 7-11 at 7 p.m. Bro. Gary Woodring will be the evangelist. Everyone is invited. Frontline will be in concert Friday, August 11, and Saturday, August 12, at 8 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church in Hope. Frontline is an outreach of the Christian Motorcyclists Association headquartered in Hatfield. The two concerts will be held on the parking lot across from Brookshire's at 814 N. Hervey.
