4H O-Rama HeldPublished Wednesday, August 2, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneEight Nevada County 4-H members participated in the Southwest District 4-H O-Rama. June 30 at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. In all there were 35 activities available to 4-H'ers. The activities stressed leadership, critical thinking, communication, resiliency and responsibility. County 4-H members competed with illustrated talks in the following areas were Riley Godwin, placing third on horses; Nicole Holley on pet care; Nicholas Johnson, placing fourth on animal science; Randy McClure, fifth, environmental; and Wayne McClure, fifth in veterinary science. Daniel Holley participated in baitcasting and game fish identification. Doug Holley participated in the gun safety and BB gun activity. 4-H is a youth development program of the Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas.
