I would like to correct a mistake in last week's news: we got 1/10 of an inch of rain on Tuesday instead of an inch.

We are enjoying the cooler weather. We got 3/10 of an inch of rain Saturday night.

Paul and Robin Ridgell celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary by attending the Murray Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock Friday night. Kay Wren spent Friday night with Mike and Ben Ridgell, Paul's sons.

Terrell and Olgin Ingersoll and Elsie Elmore had dinner Sunday with Donald and Patricia Ingersoll and attended church service at Hillcrest Rehab Sunday afternoon.

Diane and Billy Blankenship of Ashdown spent Monday with her mother, Annie Mae Hooks.

July Jester, her sister, Charlotte Kay, Lisa Beaver, Amanda and Lori Cummings went shopping in Texarkana Sunday.

Boughton Church members will have a dedication service for their new fellowship hall Sunday, August 6.

Herbie Ridgell has not been feeling well. However, his brother Paul got him off Ridgell hill some last week.

Willie and I visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas last Monday afternoon. We were served some delicious watermelon.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
