Helping Hands - EHCPublished Wednesday, July 26, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneBluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met August 10 at the Church of Christ. There were 10 members present. The meeting was called to order by Marguerite Tomlin, president. The members were honored to have Ron Addington and Jonathan Malone visit. Addington is an Independent, seeking the election for the State House of Representatives. He presented a very good talk of how he would love to help small communities get back the kind of life everyone once knew working together, worshiping together and enjoying a quiet and peaceful life. Addington and Malone then ate a potluck supper with the club. Roll call was called by Laverne Green. Ruth Sullivan read the treasurer's report. Service committee elected for July, August and September were Ruth Sullivan, Linda Carman and Vernell Loe. Margie Knight won the door prize. Some brought flowers to exchange.
