Gurdon Band Set Practice Dates, Times

Alan Wimberly, band director for the Gurdon School District, has announced his schedule for all band students to practice. If you can't make any of the rehearsals call Wimberly at home at 353-6550 or call the band hall at 353-4951.

Aug. 1 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, full band, including color guard, and just the color guard from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Aug. 2, 3, 4 and 7 full band from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; color guard, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Aug. 8 no band or color guard rehearsal.

Aug. 9-11 and 14-16 full band from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; color guard, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Aug. 17 full band from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Everyone should take their lunch. At 3:00 the band will go to Lake DeGray. Therefore, students should take their swimming attire and flotation devices. At DeGray members will swim and Wimberly will give awards. There will be lots of fun. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. The band should be back at the band hall at 8:30 p.m.

Aug. 18 day off; get ready for the first day of school Aug. 21.
