Hope you all are being careful in the heat.

Helen Harrison celebrated her 80th birthday Wednesday. Her daughter, Fran Arnold of Little Rock, and daughter-in-law, Janice Harrison, hosted the celebration at the home of John and Janice Harrison. Guests were nieces and sisters who live close by. About 15 were there. It had been a while since the Cottingham sisters had been together. They are Grace Tyree, Gertie Meador and Helen and Dorothy Grimes. Three nieces who live out of town had called to wish Helen a happy birthday. Peach tea, coffee and carrot cake were served. Gifts and many well wishes were also received.

Aaron Morton, Al Formby, Kim Overton and myself spent Sunday afternoon at my parents, J.W. and Maxine Glass.

Don, Seth and Brittney Collins went to the Gulf some time back down around Alabama.

Kenny, Pat and Tim McCullough visited with us Saturday evening. We had grilled and fixed all that home style fixings.

Aaron Morton spent Saturday night with Tim McCullough and attended church with him Sunday morning.

Don Collins will be high school principal at Springhill School. He was at McNeil. Good luck, Don.

Davey and Christy Jones are proud of their new home. They just about got it all moved in.
