We had one inch of rain Tuesday of last week, but it is still extremely hot and dry.

Everett and Mary Orren spent Monday night with Fate House of Powderly, Texas. They went from there to Napoleonville, La., and spent a few days with Kirby and Rita Orren. In route home they visited Barbara Norris of West Monroe, La. None of them who they visited is well.

Willie and I enjoyed having Boyd and Betty St. Clair visit us a while Wednesday.

These visiting Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas during the week were Theresa and Jewel Grifford, J.D. and Mildred Kelly, Syble Brown, Judy Allen, Margie Lucas and Frank Wilson.

Denise and Ricky Stable, Courtney and Theresa spent Sunday with Cathryn and Pete Jester and Jimmy Joe.

Joel and Juanita Ridgell of Cumby, Texas, had dinner Saturday with Elsie Elmore. They all visited Saturday afternoon with Willie and me.

Paul and Robin Ridgell, Mike and Ben went to Hot Springs Saturday night. The boys had fun on the Go-Carts.

Angie Beck's daughter spent Saturday night with her and Gary.

Freddie Garner visited Chloe Orren Sunday afternoon and brought pictures of her new granddaughter, Ashland.

Willie visited his sisters, Syble Brown and Mary Ann Lucas, and her husband J.D. one day last week.
