There is a change of the Sunday schedule at First Church of God, Highway 67 South in Gurdon. A breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.; hot church (contemporary worship service) will be held from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m.; worship service will be from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. (children's church available during this service); and Bible study will be held from 11:20 to 12:00 noon. You are always welcome.

South Fork Baptist Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary Sunday, July 23, with homecoming services. Sunday school will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the homecoming program beginning at 10:45 a.m. Bro. James Mills will be preaching the morning message. Potluck lunch will be served at noon and singing will follow. Eddy and Winnie Clark will be in charge of the music in the morning and afternoon.

There will be a Decipher Cemetery meeting Saturday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. at the Red Springs Church on Red Springs Road.

The Clark County Equalization Board will be in session beginning August 1 to review assessments and hear taxpayers appeals in Clark County. Appointments are now begin made by contacting: Rhonda L. Williams, secretary to the board.

First Assembly of God Sunday school will sponsor an ice cream stand on Thomason's Big Star's parking lot Saturday, July 22, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Homemade ice cream cones will sell for 25". The ice cream stand is a promotion effort for the upcoming weekend family crusade.

Debbie with her Dummies!,' featuring Debra Thompson of Newport, will be at First Assembly July 28-30. For more information phone 353-2804. Everyone welcome.

Fishing guide Larry Golden will be hosting a beginner's fishing clinic Sunday, July 23, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at DeGray Lake Resort State Park Lodge. Take your own fishing poles and tackle. Admission is free. For information call 501-865-2801.

A summer revival begins today (Wednesday) at First Assembly of God, 11th and Walnut Sts. in Arkadelphia. Speaking tonight and Thursday at 7:00 Rev. Jimmy Bobo. Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. the speaker will be Rev. Bernard Escalante. Sunday at 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. the speaker will be evangelist, C.L. Haston.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
