Magnolia Trio Takes Scramble At Prescott Country Club

Magnolia's Waller, Tuberville and Evans captured the three-man scramble at the Prescott Country Club recently.

The team shot scores of 59-61 in the two-day event for a total score of 120 in the championship flight.

Next on the list was McAfee, McAfee and Still of Hope, 60-61, at 121.

Searate, Davidson and Foote of Arkadelphia came in third, 62-59, with a 121.

The fourth place team in the championship flight was Avery, Adams, Dinman, of Magnolia, 62-60, at 122.

In first flight, the Prescott trio of Arterbury, Hamilton and Grimes were the winners, 64-60, with a 124 total.

Gurdon's Griffin, Fager and Brown were second, 64-63, at 127.

They were followed by Franks, Muldoon and Arnett of Prescott, 64-64, with a 128. Jim Franks hit the jackpot during the tourney with a hole-in-one on the par-3 eighth hole.

The fourth place team was Powell, Graven and May, of Hope, at 64-65, 129.

In the second flight, Prescott's Wilson, Loe and Marbury took the top spot, 66-62, 128, while Hambric, Hambric and Maxie of Little Rock were second, 66-64, 130.

Allen, Wren and Ball, of Hope, finished third, 66-65, 131, with Meador, Meador and Ashley of Prescott fourth, 66-65, 131.

Prescott golfers took three of the top four spots in the third flight, with Dalrymple, Loe and Reyenga winning, 69-65, 134.

Caldwell, Caldwell and Phillips of Hot Springs finished second, 70-66, for 136, while Gentry, Smith and Hunter of Prescott were third, 70-67, 137. Graham, Cornelius and Beavert came in fourth, 69-68, 138.

There were five teams finishing in the fourth flight, which was won by Fry, Fry and Kidd of Ashdown, 73-68, 141.

Wilson, Hildebrand and Woods of Delight were second, 72-70, 142,while May, House and Virden of Prescott came in third, 74-68, 142.

Burke, Hardee and Davis of Hope were fourth, 73-70, 143, while Gurdon's trio of Thomerson, White and Griffin ended up fifth, 72-71, 143.
