Don't Have It? Invent It!

BY JOHN MILLER
Published Wednesday, July 19, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune

INVENTING AWAY Instead of moping because something he needed wasn't available, Johnny Reyenga simply invented it. His inventions are basically to make farming easier. Reyenga has made a rotary plow, which cuts about an inch into the soil and helps keep the garden weed free. He also created his seed bed preparation tool. This gadget has a coulter to break the soil for the ripping plow, while an auger is used to soften the soil. With these, and other tools, Reyenga is able to garden without chemicals.
