Clara G. McCainSHACKELFORD FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, July 12, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Clara G. McCain, 98, of Prescott passed from this life Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at the Hillcrest Care and Rehab Center in Prescott. Mrs. McCain was born March 11, 1902, in Salem, Mo., to Walter Samule and Rosa Dellinger. She was a school teacher and a member of the Prescott Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mark McCain in 1969; three sons, H.C. McCain Jr., Cordell Franklin McCain and Sterline Hartwell McCain; her four brothers, Homer Dellinger, Clarence Dellinger, Clayton Dellinger and Rosell Dellinger; and one sister, Sadie Butler. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Walter L. Red' McCain of Prescott; two daughters, Lois Belle Grimes of Prescott and Jenada Bloomfield of Arkadelphia; one stepson, Julian McCain of California; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were Saturday, July 8, at the Prescott Church of Christ with Gene Cloer officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
