Caney Newsby RUBY WICKERPublished Wednesday, July 12, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Vacation Bible school will be in session at Morris this week. We're looking forward to a large attendance. We will have classes for all ages. Wanetta White was able to be in church after her fall. She broke an arm instead of her leg. I stopped by to visit her Friday. Maxine and J.W. Glass had their regular 4th of July celebration. About 64 people came by. They made ice cream and had lots of fire crackers. Janice, Don and Robert Callicott, Cannon and Heather Callicott, Cyril, Phillis and Brandon Stewart, Amy, Chris and Denise Sweat ate lunch with me on the 4th of July. We made ice cream and later Cannon shot some fireworks near the pond. We also enjoyed J.W. and Maxine's fireworks, which we could see across the pond. Pocket and Nez visited Don and Janice to watch the fireworks on the 4th. Bro. Tal Webb will be helping in a revival at Liberty Baptist Church near Emmet this week. His night is Tuesday. Revival will be going on this week at Sarepta Springs through Wednesday. Service begins at 8 p.m. Revival at Morris Baptist Church will be later this month. It will be July 24 through 28th at 7:30 nightly. Tracy and Marsha Bennett brought their new baby, Blayke Gannon, to church Sunday. He now weighs four pounds and 15 ounces. They brought him home from Little Rock Wednesday. He was a perfect angel his first day in church. Bro. Junior and Ann Loe attended funeral services for Elton Ingram on July 4th.
