Lois A. Stewart

Lois Allene Stewart, 93, died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Rocky Mound on April 5, 1906, to Will and Fanny (Loe) Fore. On April 1, 1928, she married James Holbert Stewart, who died in March of 1984. Mrs. Stewart was also preceded in death by her son, Hollis A. Stewart, in January 1997 and a grandson, James O. Moore, in February 1982.

Survivors include her daughter, Bobbie Moore, and her grandson, David S. Moore, both of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two sisters, Mildred Glass and Willie Spell Cox, and a brother and sister-in- law, William Coy and Mary Fore, all of Prescott.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Mt. Moriah Church with interment to follow immediately in Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.

During the service for Mrs. Stewart, there will be a special tribute to Hollis A. Stewart, whose remains were scattered earlier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Moriah Church and Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26, (today) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home.
