Ward Earns Fifth Win At Local TrackPublished Wednesday, July 12, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneSteve Ward of Texarkana picked up his fifth straight win Friday night in the IMCA modified class at the Rollin' Stone Speedway on Highway 371 North. A bounty of $100 has now been placed on car 50 to any IMCA car who takes the checked flags from Ward. For each week Ward goes unbeaten $20 will be added to the pot. IMCA modified winners were: first place, Steve Ward, #50 of Texarkana; second place Jimmy Dixion #57D of Benton; third place Brady Adams, #47 of Waldo; fourth place Odie Green of Texarkana; fifth place, Joe Murry of El Dorado; sixth place, Jerred Landers of Benton #777; seventh place Tim Curry of El Dorado, #3; eighth place Boo Becket of Texarkana, #52; ninth place, Stud Welch of El Dorado, #55; and tenth place Dude Lee of Mablevale, #4. Street and hobby class ran the feature together. Winners were: first place, Doug Cogbill of Willisville, #50; second place, Bobby Jordan, #17; third place, Kenneth Chumley of Little Rock, #20; fourth place, Bobby Joe Lewis of Waldo, #B4; and fifth place was Dustin Robnett of Hooks, Texas, 2R. Pure stock feature winners were: first place, John Sharp of Dierks #75; second place, Stevie Yates of Buckner, #Y28; third place, Steve Ward of Texarkana, #40; fourth place, Gary Harvin of Fouke, #1, fifth place, Jerry Buster of Maude, Texas, #35; and sixth place, Chris Dollarhide of Alexander, #30.
