Denver L. DickinsonPublished Wednesday, May 26, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneDenver L. Dickinson, 84, of Hope died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at Heather Manor South in Hope. Mr. Dickinson was born January 7, 1915, in Prescott to Dennis and Octave Murphy Dickinson. He was a retired railroad clerk of 38 years with Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the VFW and an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Franks Dickinson, who died in 1994. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Denny Dickinson and Kathryn of Hope; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Kelley Chandler of Benton; eight grandchildren, Jan McKinnon of Hope, Jill Moody and Jeff Johnston of Benton, Mandy Beck and Rusty Beck of Hope, Kelley Beth Gardner of Benton, Greg Chandler of Murfreesboro and Kelley Chandler of Benton; seven great grandchildren, Brad and Jordan McKinnon, Kaitlyn and Kaleb Moody, Hank Gardner, Jacob Jones and Sidney Chandler. Funeral services were Monday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel with Rev. Davis Thompson and Rev. Wade Hood officiating.
