Ruth P. WestHORNE FUNERAL HOME of GURDONPublished Wednesday, July 12, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Ruth P. West, 78, of Booneville died Saturday, July 1, 2000. Mrs. West was the widow of Willie Willard West. She was a Methodist. a son, Robert, and a grandson, James West Jr., preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, James West of Gurdon; two daughters, Willie Jewell Ezell of Booneville and Maggie Reed of Sparkman; three brothers, Johnny Rutherford of Okolona, Charles Marion Rutherford of Okolona and T.D. Rutherford of Gurdon; three sisters, Maggie Eckert of Gurdon, Anna Sue Wells of Gurdon and Betty Kieper of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, July 5, in Horne Funeral Chapel in gurdon with Rev. Billy Reed officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
