McKinnon Competes In ShowPublished Wednesday, July 12, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesKelli McKinnon of Gurdon, a member of the American Junior Simmental Association (AJSA) will compete in the 2000 AJSA National Classic XX to be held July 16-21 in Stillwater, Okla., at the Payne County Fairgrounds. Over 300 junior members representing 29 states from Vermont to Washington will be participating in a variety of beef industry-related competitions. Members, divided into novice, junior and senior divisions, have the opportunity to develop and showcase their skills in a number of cattle-related categories. The national classic gets under way Monday, July 17, with the arrival of cattle and contestant check-in, followed by the interview competition, public speaking and advertising and promotion event.
