Dennis Garner PowellBRAZZEL-OAKCREST FUNERAL HOME of HOPEPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Dennis Garner Powell, 50, of Prescott, formerly of Hope, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at a Little Rock hospital. Mr. Powell was born October 7, 1949, in Hope to Garner Emmett and Evelyn Louise Faris Powell. He was a retired truck driver and member of Boughton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Powell Jr., who died in 1994. Survivors include one son, Chris Powell of Jonesboro; his mother, Louise Powell of Hope; one sister, Benita Powell York of Hope; and one niece, Quincee York of Hope. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 28, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial followed in the Mt.
