9-, 10-Year-Old All Star SquadBY RICKY RAGSDALEPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune ALL-STAR BASEBALL TEAM The nine- and 10-year old all-stars have been named. Team members are, l-r, front row: Jonathan Barbaree, Matthew Hull, Blake Boeckman, Drew Loe, Deon Accor and Cameron Brown; back row: Cade Richards, Gavan McCauley, Zayne Otwell, Jacob Clark, Cody Camp and C.J. Brown; and coach Gary McCauley is shown behind the group. Coach David Loe was not present when the phot was taken. Last year was a first for the nine- and 10-year old all stars. They went to Fordyce and placed first runner-up in the 1B South District. This year 12 have been selected to represent Prescott in Bearden for the tournament this year. This team was to have played Saturday, July 1, against the defending champs from Fordyce. If the team wins they will advance to second round and play on Tuesday, July 4, at the same location.
