The marriage services of Lasonia Bishop and Keith Cody were held Saturday, May 22, at 5 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston. Lasonia Bishop is the daughter of Rev. Jerry Bishop and Mrs. Carolyn Bishop of Oak Grove. This was a beautiful wedding. She was their only girl. She is very nice. Lasonia sang a solo, 'I Know We Will Last.' It was just beautiful.

Dear community churches, we the members of the Stephens Circuit, invite you to attend our first annual memorial and lay service. This service will be held on Sunday, May 30, at 3 p.m. at St. James AME Church in Stephens. For additional information, contact Dr. Anna Burnett Graham at 870-234-0840.

Jewel Paden's funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In 1866 Memorial Day services were initially set up to honor deceased veterans. The Civic League of Oak Grove is sponsoring a free barbecue Monday, May 31, Memorial Day. Everyone is invited to attend.
