McClure To Exhibit Angus Cattle At ShowPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneRandy McClure of Waldo (the Falcon-Willisville area) will exhibit Angus cattle at the 2000 National Junior Angus Show at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines July 11-15, reports Richard L. Spader, executive vice president of the American Angus Association. McClure is a junior member of the American Angus Association with headquarters in St. Joseph, Mo. He is one of 857 young Angus breeders from 36 states who have entered a total of 1,730 head in the show. Scott Schaake of Manhattan, Kan., and Gray Dameron of Lexington, Ill., will judge the breeding cattle. Dan Hoge of Kewanee, Ill., will judge the registered Angus steer show. The National Junior Angus Show is the largest single-breed registration beef cattle show in the world. This year's event will host a beef cook-off, team sales competition, public speaking, photography, graphic design and poster contests in addition to the traditional cattle show. The National Junior Angus Show is sponsored by the American Angus Association and the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA).
