Wicker, Ridling WedPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneHelen Wicker and John C. Ridling exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony Saturday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the residence of the groom in Prescott. A lovely outdoor lawn wedding was performed by Bro. Neal Ridling, cousin of the groom. Brenda Hines, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Casteel and Emily McRaven, both daughters of the bride. Flower girls were Shelbi Cottingham, niece of the groom, and Morgan Casteel, granddaughter of the bride. Ring bearers were Dillan Jennings, grandson of the groom, and MacKenzie Suitor, grandson of the bride. Mike McClain, uncle of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Justin Hillery and Cole Hillery, nephews of the groom. The bride was escorted by her two sons, Chad Suitor and Ryan Suitor. The bride's four children, Chad Suitor, Ryan Suitor, Amy Casteel and Emily McRaven, gave their mother in marriage. Music and songs were performed by the groom and Heather Suitor. Following the ceremony a patio reception was hosted by Billie Ridling at her home. The reception was catered by Maude Hinton. A three-tier cascading wedding cake, a groom's cake and refreshments were enjoyed by 50 guests. Servers were Terri Vandiver, Rhonda Hillery, Kim Cottingham and Angela Suitor. Charles Dudley, owner of Dudley's Auto in Hope furnished the 1955 Chevy as the get-away car' for the couple. The bride is employed with Carelink, a division of Home Health. The groom is employed with Union Pacific Railroad. The couple spent their honeymoon touring beautiful northern Arkansas. The couple is making their home in Nevada County.
