Ammons, Robbins Nuptials ExchangedPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneKristina Laine Ammons and Rickie Robbins were married May 13 at 6:00 in the evening at the First United Methodist Church in Prescott. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Bro. Neal Ridling. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ammons of Prescott. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ander Ammons of Prescott and the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hooker. The groom is the son of Audrey Robbins of Hope. The sanctuary of the church was decorated with fan candelbras arranged with 30 white candles and tree fern. The pews were marked with white satin bows. Shelia Cannon of Prescott provided music while the guests were seated. The bride's book was attended by Katie Gordon of Louisiana with Melanie Glass of Prescott handing out wedding programs. Wedding music was provided by Amy Rowland of Russellville. She sang From This Moment On and I Will Be Here during the lighting of the unity candle. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk satin sleeveless gown designed by Jessica McClintock. The scoop neckline was outlined with white pearls and beads. The back of the gown came to a V shape with a large pearl encrusted bow with satin roses. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of yellow confetti roses, light blue delphinium, larkspur and baby's breath. Ashley DeWoody of Baton Rouge, La., served as maid of honor. Kaci Ammons of Prescott, sister of the bride, served as a bridesmaid. Jaslyn Richardson of Prescott, Erica Doster of Amity and Heather Herrington of Magnet Cove served as bridesmaids. The bride's attendants wore floor length sleeveless satin dresses. Each attendant wore a different pastel color: yellow, light blue, pink, lavender and sage green. They also wore chiffon scarves draped around their necks. Each bridesmaid carried a hand tied bouquet of confetti roses, pink snapdragons, jasmine and baby's breath. The flower girl was Abbey Nivens, little best friend of the bride, of Prescott. She wore a white, floor length satin dress accented with satin roses at the waist. She carried a small bouquet of confetti roses, pink snapdragons and light blue delphiniums. Evan Tompkins of Hope served as best man. Sohn McLean and Danny White of Hope served as groomsmen. David Cassels of Prescott and Jeff Woods of De Queen also served as groomsmen. Joe Mac Raschke of Hope and Casey Curtis of Bodcaw served as ushers. The groom and his attendants wore black tuxedos by Ralph Lauren. The ring bearer was Drake Barham of Hope. He wore a black tuxedo identical to the groom and his attendants. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Ammons, chose an ankle length pink linen dress accented with pink pearls. The groom's mother chose a yellow silk dress with a long jacket. Both wore corsages of confetti roses and baby's breath. After the ceremony the reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The bride's table was covered with lavender satin with a white lace overlay. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with ivy and fresh spring flowers. Wedding mints and nuts decorated the table. Serving at the bride's table were Katie Gordon and Bron Koger. The groom's table was covered with a camouflage cloth and held a German chocolate cake decorated with ducks. Robyn Rowe, sister of the groom, served at this table. Another table had an assortment of sandwiches, appetizers and a large centerpiece of fresh fruits. The punch bowl was on this table and Susan Anderson of Nashville served the guests. There was a past and present picture display of the bride and groom on a table decorated with bouquets of spring flowers. This table was decorated by Stacy Jester, sister of the bride. Bubbles were blown and the bride threw her bouquet as the couple left the church. The couple went on a honeymoon to Hot Springs and is now living in Hope.
