Golden OldiesBY DORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2000 in the Gurdon Times It doesn't seem possible that this is the last article I will write in June. Last week we played bingo, the arm chair travel game, had a group singing and celebrated June birthdays with the birthday cake being donated by Big Star. The center will be closed on July 4th. The Cover Girls are quilting again. We are now quilting on a quilt top that was pieced by a lady who lives in Texas. At one time she lived in Arkansas and pieced the top while she lived in Clark County. She wanted it quilted in Clark County. It is a really beautiful top. There will be more activities and changes by the time I write again. Have a safe and happy holiday. Let us never forget that the freedom we have in our country could easily be taken away from us.
