A visitor in church Sunday was Darell Young from Little Rock.

Helen Tidwell Thorn was back home once more. She has two homes, one in Rosston and one in Detroit, Mich. We were glad to see her home again.

Our church school convention was held at St. James in Stephens Thursday and Friday. I heard they had a good convention. I was unable to attend. They reported they had a good turn-out of children. Rev. Larry Banks is the pastor.

Our annual homecoming will be held at Bethel the second Sunday in June. Rev. Coulter will be the guest speaker that afternoon.

Registration will be Saturday, July 1, at the Oak Grove Elementary building at 9 a.m. for the Oak Grove/Nevada County Training School reunion. The picnic will also be Saturday at Coleman's Park from 12 noon until 6 p.m. The banquet will be held Sunday, July 2, in the Nevada School cafeteria at 6 p.m. The gospel explosion will be Monday, July 3, at 6 p.m.

The morning worship service will include the NCTS in the Civic League building. Mary Helen Johnson, leader of NCTS alumni choir, will be at the piano. Guest speaker for the banquet will be our own Joyce Hopson, Ph.D. She is a professor at Pensacola Junior College. She was a high school graduate of Oak Grove High School. She attended Arkansas AM&N College in Pine Bluff. She was an honor student at Oak Grove. She is the daughter of Freddie Hopson and Vira Hopson of Falcon.

New Salem Cemetery needs money to keep the cemetery mowed. Send donations to Lula Kendrick.
