Redland School Reunion Is HeldPublished Wednesday, June 28, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneFormer Redland School students, families and friends met Saturday night, June 10, in the First Baptist Church fellowship hall for an informal time of visiting and good food served buffet style from tables that were decorated by Faye Andrews and Nettie Lemons. The invocation was given by Harold White. Sunday, June 11, 44 attended the reunion in the Senior Citizens building. A lot more visiting and reminiscing were enjoyed. Pictures were furnished by Dixie Clary for all to enjoy. Dixie is to be commended for all she did to get the reunion together. There was a delicious buffet meal catered by Maude and Herb Hinton at noon. Charlie Cox gave the invocation. The group missed all those who have passed away and those who were not able to attend. There were several gifts given as door prizes to the lucky numbers drawn. After a short business session in which they voted to continue, meeting again in 2002, the meeting was adjourned with Bobbie Rawlins singing, There's a Sweet, Sweet Spirit in This Place. Those attending from out of town were Allene Daniel, Ann Wylie, Lou Ella Cobb, George Haynie and Mary Lee Dundee all of Hope; Harold White of Van Buren; Hazel Powell, Ida Mae and Bobbie Rawlins, Bonnie Emerson Holder, Martha Oliver, Edgar and Wanda White, all of Little Rock; Warren and Evelyn Barham of California; Doug and Deanna Haynie of Rogers; Jamis and Merilyn Haynie and Minnie Lou Malone of Magnolia; George Taylor of La Mesa, Calif., Charlie Cox of Ashdown; Biddie Martin of Texarkana; Debra Thomas and Joe Garrison of Rogers; and George and Dixie Clary of Emmet. Local folks attending were Eddie and Betty Hillery, George and Joy Cox, Nettie Nelson Lemons, Faye Nelson Andrews, Joyce Haynie Tyree, Neil and Hazel Meeks, Harvey and Faye Taylor, Cleo Hildebrand, Roy and Betty Cagle, Ellen Marie Holt, Pershing Cox, Todd Taylor and Roy Daniels.
