Golden OldiesBY DORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, June 28, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Matt Mosler, meteorologist from Channel 7, visited the Gurdon Senior Adult Center Thursday, June 22. He spoke to seniors also sang several songs for us. This week will be the last week in June. We were to play bingo Monday. An activity, Arm Chair Travel' was to entertain us on Tuesday. Join us for exercise and music on Wednesday. On Thursday we will enjoy cake donated by Thomason's Big Star to mark the June birthdays. Those with June birthdays are Ellis Stafford, Edna Wilson, Joe Smart, Pauline Buford, Harrell Everitt, Bernest Stephens, Betty Smart, Barbara Stephens, Bettye Horne, Alfred Walters, Gladys Sherman, Arvin Edmonds, Shirley Francis and Lora Ross. Our activity director will have more activities for the month of July. The center will be closed Tuesday, July 4.
