Ice Cream Social Set For July 4 At White OakPublished Wednesday, June 28, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesWhite Oak Lake State Park will have an old fashioned ice cream social for the Fourth of July. Homemade ice cream is just the thing on a hot summer afternoon. You can take a freezer full of your favorite recipe to eat with others at 4 p.m. in the visitor's center or you may go earlier and take a freezer and mix to freeze when you get there. Ice will be available to purchase at the park store at $1 per bag. The park has some large ice chests to set the freezers in and bowls and spoons for your use.
