Roy and Wanda Stewart from Benton visited with relatives around the community last week. Jayne, Tracy and Abbey Morrow went to Benton to visit Jeff, Miki, Grayson and the new twins, Kati and Colen, last Saturday. I talked with my son, Tommy Overton, who is at Ft. Chaffee for National Guard camp. They should be coming home Friday. Sunday was the annual Cornelius Father's Day fish fry. Hosts Jack and Tom Cornelius started frying fish around 10:30, expecting about 40 people to attend. Those enjoying the event were Lewis Cornelius, Jim and Sue Cornelius, Lynn, Melanie and Ty Cornelius from Mt. Pleasant, Jesna Lamb from Horatio, Jake Cornelius, Pearl and Mike Payne, Jimmie Cornelius, Harold Blevins, Martha Steed, Stuart Ridling, Neil, Sonja and Morgan Ridling from Hope; Donald and Betty Jo Hampton, John Cornelius, Donna and Brandon Tullis, Al Formby and Kim Overton. Greg Morrow from Germany called his dad, Larry Morrow, Sunday to wish him a happy Father's Day. Oh, by the way, Greg and Jennifer, did ya'll enjoy the drive to Switzerland? Aaron Morton and I spent Sunday with my parents, J.W. and Maxine Glass. Like always the house was full of relatives and the table was full of food. Hazel Hendrix had a birthday party Saturday. David Kirkham put it all together with about 40 people attending. Happy birthday, Mrs. Hazel. David, Donald and Elizabeth Hopkins and Grandma Patricia Kirkham left Monday with Central Baptist Church for church camp. Homer Green from Dallas, Texas, passed away last Monday. His wife, Wilma Porter Green, was raised around our area. Aaron Morton spent Monday night with his Uncle Erney Morton and family. Don't forget homecoming at Morris Baptist Church Sunday. Bro. Tal Webb will be bringing the message. Kim Overton and Tiffany Overton spent Sunday night with their dad, Larry Overton. Have a safe week.
