Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991. A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott at the courthouse June 22. Supplemental Security Income pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible call 1-800-772-1213. S.C.A.N., (suspected child abuse and neglect) needs volunteers. Beginning July 1 the Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City will begin charging $100 per cemetery plot. If you have questions call 887-2979. The Nevada County Tennis Summer League will begin June 27. First place wins t-shirts; second - team and individual trophies; and third place - below team trophy. The annual Callaway-Holder reunion will be held Sunday, June 25, at the Caddo Bend pavilion on Lake DeGray. All descendants of Tom Callaway and Isabelle Holder and all friends and acquaintances of the family are urged to attend. A potluck lunch will be served at noon. The Stivers family reunion will be held June 24 in memory of the late Oscar and Grace Stivers and their son Ted Stivers, who passed away Wednesday, June 14. The reunion will be held in the Prescott Housing Authority community room with doors opening at 10 a.m. The traditional potluck dinner will be held around 12:30 p.m. All friends and family are invited to share the day with them. Devotion will be by Bro. Gerald Steed and message will be brought by Bro. Tal Webb. Lunch will be served at noon with singing following in the afternoon. There will also be Thursday night singing at 7:00 June 22. Vacation Bible School at Boughton Baptist Church will be from 9 to 12 noon June 26-29. Aaron and Kristina Burke are proud to announce the birth of their son, Shaun Michael, Thursday, June 15, 2000. He weighed 6 pounds and was 18> inches long. Grandparents are Lou and Diana Wilson and Debbie and Robert Burke all of Prescott. Revival services at Bodcaw Baptist Church on Highway 53 will begin Sunday morning, June 25 and continue through Thursday, June 29. Services Sunday will be at the regular worship service times, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with the weekday services beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evangelist will be Rocky Goodwin of Camden. There will be special music at each service using area talent. Everyone is invited. A gospel reunion concert will be at the St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City on July 2 at 7 p.m. Special guests will be: the former members of the Bright Stars, Evening Stars Gospel singers, Spiritual Fives, Spiritual Five Juniors and Southern Stars Gospel Singers. A very special guest will be Mrs. Patricia Nolan of Rockford, Ill. Each and everyone is invited to be a part of this gospel reunion concert.
