Past Due Accounts Double In Cycle Two To 103 Delinquent CustomersBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, June 21, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Since March, the number of overdue accounts in cycle 2 for the Prescott Light Company has almost doubled. In March there were 54 accounts, this has grown to 103 for June. May had 90 late accounts. Additionally, the amount owed because of overdue bills has increased from $29,532.57 to $32,268.91. This is an increase of $2,736.34 from May until June. Of the 103 overdue accounts for June, 18 are 90 days past due, 14 are 60 days late and one received a final notice. There are 59 new account numbers on the cycle 2 list for June, while 38 were paid from the May figures. Four accounts from the June data had bills in excess of $1,000. The largest single amount owed is $5,564.18, up form $5,115.01 last month. This account, records show, is more than 90 days late, and is a commercial account. One known residential customer has a bill more than 90 days past due with a total of $3,705.16. In May this amount was $3,679.44.
