Mike Ross was the overwhelming winner in the runoff election Tuesday, June 13.

However, voter apathy was obvious as less than 4 percent of registered voters in Nevada County bothered to go to the polls.

Ross garnered 1,405 votes, while Dewayne Graham received 220. With the win, Ross will now face Republican incumbent Jay Dickey in the race for Fourth Congressional District House of Representatives.

Breaking the local results down precinct by precinct, Ross took the early voting 114-17 and the absentee balloting 67-4.

For Bluff City, city and rural, along with Bluff City 2 and 3, Ross won 31-4.

The Bodcaw area also went heavily for Ross, 50-5, while Boughton results was a tad closer at 37-8, still for Ross.

Cale City, Rural and 7 and 8 went for Ross 17-3, with there being no surprise from Emmet's boxes as Ross pummeled Graham 106-11.

The vote in the Georgia Community was closer, but still went for Ross 27-11.

The Jackson-Leake box also favored Ross, 28-3, with the Laneburg-Sutton region of the county voting for Ross by a 58-16 margin.

Graham managed to get two votes from the Alabama district, while Ross garnered 16.

The Liberty-New Hope box stayed true to what proved to be the norm by going heavily for Ross, 72-11.

Rosston's boxes made sure the trend continued with a Ross win there of 57-7.

The vote at the Union Church box was 21-6 for Ross, while Willisville's boxes preferred Ross 65-12.

Getting to the City of Prescott, Ward 1, combined with Ward 1 JP2, was a landslide for Ross, 233-34, while Ward 2 went with Ross, 98-12.

In Ward 3 Ross was the winner by a vote of 45-7, while he took Ward 4, 91-10.

The West Rural box preferred Ross, 77-23, while the East Rural box completed the sweep with a 95-14 tally.

For the Fourth District, Ross was the winner as he received 59 percent of the vote to Graham's 41 percent.
