Williams 'Wayne' Lyle

William Wayne' Lyle, 67, of St. Peters, Mo., died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo.

Mr. Lyle was born March 3, 1933, in Gurdon. He worked as a logistic engineer manufacturing aircraft for McDonnell-Douglas for 13 years in St. Louis County, Mo., when he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years. He also taught computer classes at the Senior Centers of O'Fallon and Wentzville, Mo. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie E. Lyle of St. Peters; two sons, Gary Wayne Lyle and his wife Monique of O'Fallon, Mo., and Paul Brian Lyle and his wife Laura Britton of St. Louis; one brother, James H. and his wife Sadie J. Lyle of Fayetteville, Texas; a granddaughter, Alexis Rae Lyle; and his mother in-law, Vivian Pauline Finney of Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Earl and Sara Ellen Lyle.

Services were held Thursday, June 15, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles, Mo. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
