Underpass Floods In Big RainfallBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, June 21, 2000 in the Gurdon Times HIGH WATERS Getting under the underpass at Gurdon was impossible most of Thursday as heavy rains Wednesday night and Thursday morning dropped some five inches of wet stuff on the ground. The end result was the water level under the underpass rose to nearly three feet, making it impassible for vehicles. This meant when trains blocked Main Street motorists had no choice but to wait.
