Bill May and his family of North Carolina have been visiting his mother, Helen.

Heather Callicott's grandfather, Johnny Shewbirt, passed away. He was buried at Harmony Sunday. Don, Janice, Robert Callicott, Phyllis Stewart, Linda Hacker, Kay Callicott, Bro. Junior Loe, Phanae Hicks and I, all from Caney, attended funeral services Sunday afternoon. Bro. Raymond Hicks, who pastors at Forrest Hill Baptist, helped with the funeral.

Our vacation Bible school at Morris Baptist Church will be the week of July 10. It will start at 6 p.m. If your child would like to attend call Suzanne Cross, Pam Cleveland or Krista Webb or any member of Morris.

Ricky White and his family have moved into a new mobile home into our community. A bridle shower was given Sunday afternoon for the newlyweds.

Marsha Bennett and Tracy have a new baby boy. He weighed three pounds. He was a bit premature, but doctors say he is fine. He has been named Blake Gannon. Such a big name for such a little boy.

Maxine Glass, great grandmother of Deb Jackson, visited with the newborn and his family at the hospital in Little Rock Sunday.

I enjoyed teaching a workshop at the Senior Citizens Center in Hope Thursday morning. My daughter, Amy Sweat, is the coordinator there.

Dorothy Apel and I had lunch with the SAMS at Western Sizzlin Thursday in Hope. The SAMS will meet next month at the Fish Nest in Prescott.

We had a visiting preacher at Morris Baptist Church Sunday. We enjoyed Bro. Randle Crawley and his young family from Daingerfield, Texas.

Grace and Coy Callicott have moved back to their home in Caney. They have been living at Bragg Lake near their son.

David and Linda Hacker and sons visited Pocket and Nez Callicott Sunday.

Mt. Zion Baptist at Cale has called a pastor. They invite you to come and help support the church and their new pastor.

Lucy and Maxine Glass took their Aunt Ethel Ellis for a doctor's check-up in Texarkana Thursday.
