Church was well attended Sunday. Bro. Petie brought a very inspiring message. We had a special service due to Jeff Hunt, who recently adopted his wife's son, Jeremy Monk. He will be A.B. and Maxine Luck's great grandson. Their daughter, Darla Wise, of Little Rock was in our service. She placed the beautiful red gladiolas on the communion table. Other guests were Herman and Floy Waters of Dallas and Bro. Petie and Laura's little nephew.

Revival service will be at Whites Chapel this week with Jerry Evans as evangelist. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Jeff and Tara Carlton will be doing the special singing on Monday night.

Roscoe and I went to Little Rock last Wednesday to his heart doctor. He got a pretty good report. All my tests came back good that I had done two weeks ago. We had supper at Furr's in North Little Rock.

Mona Dixon and her sisters from Little Rock went to a school reunion at Troy. We missed Mona in church.

Wayne Jarvis and Tommie Lou's brothers, Jack and Bob Waters, of Stephens went to Houston for a couple of days to see Tommie Lew. She has been in a Houston hospital for several days, but got to go out to her daughters on Friday. Pat had to get a nurse to help her out. Pray that she will soon get to come home.

Mike and Mary Smith and her mother, Ruth Vinson, have been camping on Lake Columbia this week. It's been great weather and the rain is so nice.

I should have had tomatoes large enough to eat but they are only about the size of a golf ball. The plants have bloomed their self to death since Easter, but no tomatoes until recently. The authority in Monticello says its due to too much wet weather, so I guess tomatoes will be late.

Arlene Luck West of Hope passed away this week. She is a sister-in-law of A.B. Luck.

A.B. and Maxine's daughter, Darla Wise, of Benton spent the weekend with them. They went to the funeral home in Hope on Saturday night and had supper at Western Sizzlin.

Roscoe and I visited grandson Marty, Raegan and Wren on Thursday afternoon and did some shopping in Texarkana.

B.C. Dillard left on Saturday morning to be at the bedside of his brother's son, Frank Dillard, in Austin, Texas. He is seriously ill after open heart surgery and needs our prayers.

Margaret Jackson had cataract surgery in Texarkana Monday. Remember her please.

Don't forget the fish fry Saturday at Rosston Baptist Church beginning at 5 p.m. There will be a chicken plate for the ones who don't eat fish. The youth are trying to make money for summer trips.
