The weather has been great. I hope you all have been enjoying it.

Mildred Hill and Barbara Sampson had visitors Saturday. They were Clara Williamson from San Diego, Calif., Lea Casteel from Ohio and Norma Hornaday from Hot Springs.

Jack and Jimmie Cornelius are proud grandparents. Jake and Tera Cornelius have a son, Adam Ray. He was born Wednesday, weighing seven pounds and eight ounces.

National Guard guys left Saturday morning for two weeks at Ft. Chaffee. My son, Tony Overton, called Sunday morning to let me know they made it and that they are getting prepared for the week's stay out in the field.

My nephew and his wife, Tracy and Marcia Bennett, are proud parents of their first child. Blake Gannon was born Friday at UAMS. He was a little early, but he's doing fine. Best of luck, you three.

Kim Overton and Al Formby attended church at Missionary Grove. They joined Aaron Morton and myself for lunch at J.W. and Maxine Glass's and all the rest of the crew. Before we all had to get back home, Liz Nunn and Tracy Bennett (proud daddy) dropped by and, of course, they had a hand full of pictures of the new arrival.

James Sampson from Conway came in Saturday to watch his son, J.D. Sampson, play ball.

Tim McCullough spent Sunday night with us. Monday we put him to work doing odd jobs. He probably will want to stay with us for a while.

Have a safe week.
