Youth day was held at Bethel AME Church Sunday. Sister Scott was the guest speaker. She is getting better and better.

Jessie Hardgrave and his wife visited me Saturday and left his money for the class reunion. He never misses a chance to come back to Oak Grove.

Rev. Wallace Ingram will hold a revival beginning Monday night after the second Sunday in July. He lives in Rockford, Ill., and he is the pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church there. Rev. Carlton will bring our homecoming message that Sunday afternoon at New Bethel AME Church in Rosston.

Mrs. Lorice Burse and her father went to St. Louis last week. Her children live there.

Mrs. Elsie Sanders is in the rehab center in Hope. This is the same one that Girtie Blake is in. I am sure she wants to come home.

Plans for the Oak Grove and Nevada County Training School reunion 2000 are all in place. This will be the biggest and the best reunion ever. A fun-filled three days of activities are on schedule.

The reunion ball will be open to the public and serve as a fund-raiser for the restoration of Wortham Gymnasium. The gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the show will start at 8:00.
