Nevada County Youth Urged To Join 4-H

Youth between the ages of five and 19 are invited to join 4-H in Nevada County. There is no charge to join 4-H.

There are three divisions within the 4-H organization: Cloverbud offered to ages 5 to 8 years old; Junior Division ages 9 to 13; and Senior Division for those 14 to 19 years of age.

4-H offers a broad range of activities and educational programs as well as specialty programs, such as environmental education, entomology, consumer education, personal leadership and development, foods and nutrition, health, child development, clothing, fashion, public speaking, livestock, horse, swine and many more.

Presently there are three 4-H clubs in Nevada County. The Corral, Livestock and the Oak Grove 4-H Clubs meet once a month.

The Livestock club meets at the Nevada County Cooperative Extension office. The Oak Grove Club meet at the Oak Grove Community and Day Care Center.
