College News - UCA Graduation HeldPublished Wednesday, June 14, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe University of Central Arkansas in Conway has certified degrees for 700 students who completed requirements during the spring term and participated in the spring commencement. Three of those were from Prescott. These included Brian P. Cossey, who graduated with a bachelor of science in education degree in kinesiology/physical education; Russell K. Shope, who received a bachelor of science degree in computer science, and Kelly Whitmarsh graduated with a bachelor of science in health sciences-physical therapy. The 700 degrees bring to 1,178 the total granted this school year at the winter and spring commencements, with summer commencement in August remaining.
