Local Lions Club Members Are Hawaii Bound

Members of the Prescott Lions Club and their wives will leave Sunday, June 18 for Honolulu, Hawaii to attend the Lions International Convention.

Those going include: Curtis Lee and Mary Johnson, Charles and Jeanne Haynie, George and Margaret Ivey and Ruby and Faye Preston.

More than 20,000 Lions world-wide are expected to attend.

The group will also attend an authentic luau and will be entertained by Don Ho, a popular Hawaiian entertainer.

One of the guests speakers scheduled for the convention is space pioneer and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

The group will return to Prescott on June 27th.
