McRae Reunion Plans Moving Along

The McRae School reunion plans are going great, according to Ivory Curry, one of the spokesmen for the event, which will take place June 30 and July 1, 2, 3 and 4.

A large number of people are expected, Curry said. There are many activities planned for the reunion.

Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. June 30 during the happy hour at the Upchurch Community Center. The reunion choir will hold a rehearsal at Munn's Chapel Baptist Church at 7:00 June 30.

The session will actually begin Saturday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. at McRae Middle School (MMS). The group will enjoy lunch together that day at Prescott Elementary School (PES). A talent show will be held that night at 7:00 at MMS.

A morning worship service will be held for the group Sunday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m. in the Prescott High School auditorium. They will enjoy a brunch at PES at 12:30.

Individual class reunions will be held Monday, July 3, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Exact locations will be announced later. A reunion banquet will be held that night at 7:00 at MMS.

A reunion parade will be held in downtown Prescott at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4. At noon a reunion picnic will be held at MMS. A fireworks display will take place at 8:00 p.m. at Bemis Field at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The finale will be a millennium ball at MMS beginning at 9:00 that night.
