City's Overdue Accounts Up In Cycle One

Cycle 1 for June with the Prescott Power and Light Company showed an increase in overdue accounts from May.

According to information from the City of Prescott, there were 78 overdue accounts for the month's first cycle, whereas there were 52 in May. However, cycle 1 for April had 67 overdue accounts.

The amount owed for this cycle was $27,531.65, up from May's $25,615.00.Both figures, though, are less than what was owed in April, which was $38,114.31.

Of the 78 overdue accounts, five are 60 days past due, 16 are 90 or more days late, six owe more than $1,000 and there are 45 new account numbers on the list.

The most owed on cycle 1 for June is $5,675.17. This, according to the city's data, is a commercial account. The lowest bill being late was $16.10.

The figures show one residential account to be in arrears of more than $1,000. This bill, more than 90 days past due is $1,568.77. However, in May $1,690.30 was owed on this account.

In May, 13 accounts were more than 90 days past due, with nine being 60 days late. In addition, seven of these accounts were in excess of $1,000.

For June's first cycle, 20 accounts past due in May had been paid off.
