Brandon Gattis Signs To Play Baseball With OBUPublished Wednesday, June 7, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesOuachita Baptist University Tiger baseball coach B.J. Brown has announced the signing of 10 players from Arkansas and Texas to NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference letters-of-intent. Included in the signing is Brandon Gattis, the outstanding outfielder-infielder for the Gurdon Go-Devils. "I am excited about the potential these players offer to our program," said Brown. "They are good players who can help us in every element of the game." Others signing with the Tigers were Will Crum of Plano, Texas, a pitcher and catcher, Brett Parker of Fort Worth, Texas (North Crowley), an outfielder; Scott Wheeler of Fort Worth, Texas (North Crowley), a pitcher and shortstop; Scott McLaughlin of Dierks, a pitcher and infielder; and Joey Davis of Junction City, an outfielder. Also inking with OBU were Craig Enloe of Harrison, an infielder; Austin Reed of Fort Worth, Texas (Norman High School North-Norman, Okla.), an infielder; and Colin Chandler of Grand Prairie, Texas (South Grand Prairie), a catcher.
