Raymond Elvis Huett

Raymond Elvis Huett, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at his home in Nevada County.

Mr. Huett was born in Patmos on May 7, 1924, to Hamp and Pearl Turner Huett. He was raised and attended school in Patmos. He served in the U.S. Army 20th Mechanized Armor Division in Europe during World War II. He was a retired inspector of Ethyl Corporation. In 1945 he married Louise Collier of Shover, the daughter of Deward and Allie Collier. Raymond and Louise lived in Oakhaven before moving to Pasadena, Texas, in 1952, where they raised their family. In 1978 they moved back to their farm in Nevada County to retire and to raise cattle, Raymond's lifelong hobby.

Raymond is survived by his wife Louise; two sons, Mike and wife Becky of Prescott, and Ronald and wife Janet of Emmet; five grandchildren, Kimberly and husband, Kevin Grimes, Ashley Huett, Aaron Huett and wife Kim, Raegan and husband Marty Williams and Sarah Huett; two great grandchildren, Hunter Grimes and Wren Williams; and two step great grandchildren, Trevor and Payton Seely.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, 2 p.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Bobby Joe Wright officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
